The expert accused the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of data manipulation
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deliberately understates the losses, the real losses are an order of magnitude higher than the officially announced ones. So says military expert Alexei Sukonkin. He analyzed the certificate of losses that got into the Network, signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny and addressed to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov. It is dated August 1.

Sukonkin recalls that a few days ago, the same Zaluzhny, in an interview with Western journalists, said that the losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to 9,000 people. This figure, according to experts, is not true. For example, a month ago, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported tens of thousands of dead Ukrainian soldiers.
And now, in the National Security and Defense Council, signed by the same Zaluzhny, the following numbers of losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are called: 76 thousand 640 killed; 42 thousand 704 wounded; 7244 people were taken prisoner; 2816 are missing; non-combat losses – 1610 people.
The list does not include the losses of other armed formations: the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the border service.
But most importantly, notes military expert Alexei Sukonkin, the loss of territorial defense units was not included in the certificate. They were created shortly before the start of the special operation, and their legal status has not been fully determined. Meanwhile, it is the therodefense that has recently suffered the most significant losses. Sukonkin explains why: “Citizens mobilized for the defense usually do not even go through initial military training, do not have the skills necessary for war, arm themselves according to the residual principle, and as a result, hundreds die under Russian artillery fire.”
The expert noted another inconsistency in the data on the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the ratio of dead and wounded in any military operations is, as a rule, one to three. “And in the submitted document, the ratio is almost two to one (two dead per one wounded. – “MK”), which cannot be in principle,” the expert believes.
He recalled that for another month and a half, in early July, a report was published, collected by the intelligence agencies of the United States, Germany, Poland and Great Britain. According to him, the total losses of Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 212 thousand people.
“A lot of time has passed since then, and the losses could not decrease in any way,” concludes Sukonkin.
counteroffensive. “Now there is no one to attack,” the expert noted.
