Last week Turkey and Syria were devastated with back to back earthquakes of a massive magnitude which have killed over 11,000 and injured a whopping 80,000 or more.
While rescue efforts are still underway, nightclubs and event venues across Turkey are expeditiously trying to ramp up relief efforts.
Mixmag Turkey took the time to compile a list of the organizations to donate to to help those impacted by the debilitating earthquakes across Turkey and Syria.
Istanbul clubs Klein Phönix, Klein Harbiye, RX Istanbul and MiniMuzikhol, the capital Ankara’s Kite, and Izmir venue DatDat have launched campaigns to gather essential supplies for the people of the 10 impacted provinces. Items provided by nearby clubgoers are then being sent to those affected. The home of Sónar Istanbul, Zorlu Performing Arts Centre, sent their own search and rescue teams to the areas that are most needed.

Core relief items listed by Turkey’s governmental institution, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), include heaters, blankets, pillows, bed linens, food parcels, dry food, hygiene kits, clean clothes, clean baby clothes, baby food, sleeping bags, power banks, scarves, berets and gloves.
Mixmag shared a list of ways you can support the affected and donate to organizations that are doing the groundwork like AFAD, AHBAP, Oxfam and more. Find all the details and donation links here.
