Footage From Avicii’s Last Ever Live Performance In Ibiza Has been Shared On His YouTube Channel

After sharing footage from Avicii’s last ever live performance from Ushuaïa Ibiza on August 28, 2016, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the iconic “Levels”, days ago a clip from the same performance of him dropping “Addicted To You” has also been released on his official YouTube channel.
The video which was shot during his final performance, about two years before his passing, shows him dropping “Addicted To You” from the album ‘True.’ While it wasn’t known during that performance that it would be his last, he announced his retirement from touring just a few months after. During the announcement which took many by shock, he shared the break was needed to allow him to explore strong interests in different areas, which the grueling touring allowed little time for.
Sharing in an interview after this same performance at Ushuaïa, he had shared, “Two weeks ago, I took the time to drive across the U.S. with my friends and team, to just look and see and think about things in a new way. It really helped me realize that I needed to make the change that I’d been struggling with for a while.”
He then passed away by suicide in 2018 at the age of 28 and his family took it upon themselves to establish the Time Bergling Foundation in his honor to assist individuals in need and bring attention to mental health struggles as well as suicide prevention.
The tributes in his hometown of Stockholm, have kept flowing in through the years. From a new wind sculpture that was erected recently in his honor, to the city’s largest indoor music venue, the Ericsson Globe, which was renamed Avicii Arena and then around one year ago, the Avicii Experience exhibition opened at Space, to name a few!
